Once, my beau and I took a trip to Costa Rica with some good friends and every day we set off on a new adventure — zip-lining, four-wheeling, horseback riding, soaking in mud baths, hiking in the mountains, swimming in the ocean, relaxing at the spa. It was incredibly fun, and because it was a slow season for travelers, we often had the land and tours to ourselves. The circumstances were so favorable sometimes that we could hardly believe our luck. It was as if we were in this sweet spot where only good could come to us. We kept saying, “We’re in the bubble!” And we remained there for the rest of the trip.

Back home, daily life was a little less enchanting, but the trio sessions for this recording brought me back to that sweet spot again. How beautiful it was to have such amazing musicians by my side to realize the music I had envisioned for so long. We found our groove quickly and enjoyed the inspiration that flowed between us - we were “in the bubble” and I hope you find yourself right there with us as you listen.
